California Dreamin'

We're (reluctantly) back from San Fran. We had a great time. I could have stayed another week (or forever?). The temperature was a balmy 18 degrees, compared to minus 18 here! Brrr! Rob made the most of his time, even though he got called away to his conference on Wed, Thurs, and Friday morning. I had lots of fun exploring the city by myself, and then we spent most of Friday and all of Saturday together seeing the sights.

We had SUCH a good time. It was great to have a mini-holiday after a few months of no travel! It did my heart good, and our wee cargo enjoyed the trip too, or so I suspect.

Fun times in Millbrook

Emer & Brad came to spend the weekend, along with their genius adorable baby, Bernadette, and their genius adorable doggie Lulu. We had a great time, and ate like pigs, and were lazy, and even fired up the fireplace.

Happy February!

Well, with an 'Extreme Weather Warning' in effect for most of Ontario, I have NO pictures worth posting. Outside is white, snowy, blowy. Rob's away in Edmonton where it's fifty below!! So, I'm not looking forward to shovelling the driveway. Doh!

I light of all of this winter madness, I thought I should post a picture from happier and warmer climes. I've been daydreaming about Greece a lot lately - it was one of our favourite trips of all time. Here we are on the Island of Naxos. Soooo beautiful. If only I could beam myself over there right now. I'M SICK OF WINTER!

Oh well, at least we're off to San Fran next Wednesday, so, hopefully the weather will be a bit milder and I'll have some exciting pictures to post!!

She's Crafty

Soooory! I know my adoring public has been very cross with my lack of posting. I have NO excuse, other than that I haven't had anything to take pictures of... there's just nothing exciting going on!

So, I'm going to bore you instead with pictures of my crafty projects I'm working on. (I've got to earn my keep somehow... can't just sit around eating bonbons, y'know).

The first is a rug that I'm hooking. It's not nearly done yet, but it's pretty darn cute so far. It's going to be a wall hanging in a certain wee bedroom upstairs.

The next project is a wee quilt that I'm making for a special nephew, who is soon moving into a big-boy bed. So, I thought he deserved a big-boy quilt for his 2nd birthday!

Sun is out here today, and it's 1 degree! Balmy! The snow has been sliding off the roof all morning. Better get out and get shovelling!

I'll try to update more often. Sorry to be such a slacker!
