Florida = fun!

We are having the best trip! The kids are in beach heaven and fall into bed each night. The adults are blissed out and relaxed. I can't believe we are only staying for a week! What were we thinking?

When bad desserts happen to good people

Sir Henry is prone to grabbing whatever food he can reach and jamming it into his mouth. He's kind of like a garbage disposal that way. For example, there seem to be a lot fewer of those pesky orange ladybugs lying around on the floor since he started crawling.

These pics are from a few weeks ago when the young sir decided to acquaint himself with those horrible smutty chocolate (?) smut rolls. He was KEEN!

Walking in a wintry(?) wonderland

Though this is a non-winter, there's still a wee bit of snow left, so we enjoyed a kinda-sorta-wintery walk on Saturday.

Granny & Poppa released the hounds (and Charley) and Evy and I joined them for a stroll up the lovely (if incorrectly named) Medd's mountain.

There wasn't another soul around, and the woods were quiet and beautiful.  Unlike the dirty, slushy, melty grossness that makes up the roads and yard.  Evy and Charley enjoyed each other's company, and  greatly enjoyed sliding down the hill on their butts.  Wheeeee!

Cousinly love amongst the cedars

Sudden collapse?  Distress?  Tantrums?  No, just peeking through the cracks in the bridge looking for frozen froggies.

A lovely time was had by all.  Now if the weather would cooperate and send us a bit more winter.  Just in time for us to leave for 12 days in Florida.  But I shall not complain about that, har har.

Ten whole months!

Can you believe this little man is 10 months old?

He's certainly acting like a big boy and is officially eating more than his sister at every meal. Also, he pushed a chair across the dining room the other day, walking proudly behind it.

And yesterday at Granny and Poppa's, he discovered the favourite pastime of toddlers everywhere: toilet paper unrolling! Naughty but cute, that's for sure.
