Needs work

People keep saying to me, "oh, you must be all ready for the baby. I'm sure you've got its room all done, and full of precious baby things, and you're probably just sitting and waiting for the big day."

And I'm like... hmmmm. Yeah.
Yeah, that's right. All ready. All prepared.
Nothing left to do, just a few last minute things.
Like the whole freakin' ROOM, as you can see here:

My poor brother Ben has been working his butt off trying to get the walls ready. And Rob & his friends worked so hard to get the insulation done. So, lots of progress has in fact been made, BUT, there's still quite a bit more to do.

I'll post a picture when it's done, because it's going to be beeeeyouuteeful! In the meantime, if the bebe gets here early, it'll have to sleep in a drawer in the kitchen or something!

Chicken n' chubby

So, I don't think I've properly explained the Chicken Coop. (Thus the confused comments from Keavy over in England who thinks that we're making a coop for GIANT chickens!)

The rare Canadian 'Chickenus Giantus'

The old building was in fact a horrible dirty chicken coop/outhouse from days of yore/ squirrel hide-out with 30 years of shite and dust and nut shells. It was quite slanty and scary inside. The 'NEW' and much improved chicken coop is going to be Rob's beautiful home office. Complete with deck over our wee creek, and wireless internet, and a queen sized pull out sofa for pesky houseguests (or for me if I need to escape the baba on occassion).

Speaking of the baba, here's the latest giant-shamu belly shot for your amusement. Seriously, I think I've grown SO much since last week.

Tootally looking forward to baby brother Ben's big wedding on Saturday! I can't WAIT! It's going to be so fun, and I'll be sure to post lots of pictures of all the Higgy shenanigans. And Ben is going to look soooo cute in his tuxedo! I will look LESS cute in the only dress I could find to accomodate the girth. Stay tuned for the weekend!

After a quiet week, yesterday saw a flurry of activity on ye olde chicken coop front.

Rob, Dennis and Sir Jimsalot Higgy spent a busy day working on the new building.

Here's your regular update of my non-regular belly!

Yes, it's getting bigger.

Here's a pic from today... me hanging with my two babies. The metal mini one, and the still-growing mini one. I actually managed to fit behind the wheel, even with that big belly!


All is well here. We've got a busy weekend planned. Rob and friends are tearing down the chicken coop. It's going to be messy - especially when the resident squirrels retaliate.
