Icecream junkie

Perfect start to the long weekend:

5:15 - Get home from work
5:45 - Make Kraft Dinner for supper. Make a salad too to alleviate parental guilt re: KD
6:15 - Walk to Beckers for icecream delight
6:17 - Stop so Evy can throw rocks over the bridge
6:24 - Pay $2.98 for 2 small 'Moosetracks'* icecream cones
6:25 - Sit down on bench outside Joe the Barber's
6:29 - Silence. Lots of eating going on
6:31 - Dripping
6:33 - Town drunk** comes by and laughts riotously at Evy's messy icecream face. Asks for a lick. (Shudder). Evy says a forceful no (thank buddha). Drunk tells me it's good she knows how to say no, cause a pretty girl like her is going to break a lot of hearts. Then falls over,
6:35 - Still traumatized over town drunk, but endeavouring to eat cone
6:37 - Sarah, done. Evy, filthy. Start the walk home (click for video)

6:38 - Stop so Evy can throw rocks over bridge
6:40 - Sarah running away from filthy child (click for n'other video). Worried neighbours might call Children's Aid. Or, town drunk might come back
6:45 - Make it home
6:47 - Rinse Evy off in sink

Ah, the bench outside Joe the Barber's.
Sat on by many a soul enjoying icecream.

Now, with a fabulous start like that (less the town drunk part) don't you think this long weekend will be a doozy!? Happy Civic Holiday to one and all!
