Giddy up!

Dashing through the snow... in a two-horsed open sleigh... Over the fields we went, and it was indeed a jolly and frosty good time.

We were celebrating poppa's birthday and headed out to ye olde sugar bush for some fun in the snow. The horses are Belgians and were beautiful! What big boys! They did a fine job of hauling our butts all through the woods.

These 2 beautiful boys are Belgian brothers

Twas a bit frosty - Evy looks like she's not totally enjoying herself!

Maybe the 92-year old was a bit chilly too?

A very funny tree - perfect for a tree swing or hangings - you decide

And the jolly yet slightly frozen gang

Of course, this being Jim's birthday made me think back to how we celebrated his 60th, 5 short years ago. And not to say the sleigh ride and a nice lunch in Millbrook wasn't just lovely, it would be hard to beat his 60th celebrations at the Winter Olympics in Turin.

So, as I promised Jim today, maybe we'll try to be back in Italy, having a gelato, for his 70th birthday? Or heck, let's make it the 66th!

Happy Birthday daddio!
